Weekender 12/8/16

We have a South Bay centric Weekender this time!  As I am from this area, I hope that you’ll be able to join in some of the fun and wonderful atmosphere of one of  my favorite areas of the greater SF Bay Area.  Take a look:

weekender_avayawinterfest

First-Ever Winterfest at Avaya Stadium, Saturday, 12/10 12:00 noon – 5:00 pm.  This event is tied to the Earthquakes Toy Drive for Sacred Heart Community Services (the toy give away will precede the 12:00 noon start).  For the actual event, think snow, without the long drive to the mountains!  There will be over 2100 cubic feet of snow just to play in, giant snow globes, jump houses and much more.  Please review all the information and activities on the link below.

weekender_wgcablecar

Ready for some old-fashioned holiday fun?  There’s no better place than San Jose’s downtown Willow Glen.  The city is bringing back the cable car rides for viewing the nearby neighborhoods and their holiday lights.  This event begins on Friday night, 12/9/16 and runs through Wednesday, 12/21.  Pick-up is at the Bank of America on Lincoln Ave.  Please click on the link below to see the cable car’s schedule and associated fees.  Downtown also has great spots for holiday photos…grab a hot chocolate and walk through town!

weekender_sharks

Perfect time to catch a San Jose Sharks game too.  They are in town taking on the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, 12/10.  Game time is 7:30 pm.  Our beloved Tiburones  are having a good year, finding lots of ways to win.  See link below for their whole schedule and additional information.  Go Sharks!!

Weekly Stats 11/10/16

Keeping you informed.  Part of what I do.  It is a glorious Fall day here in the SF Bay Area.  Before you head out, take a look at my updated market stats for both Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties.  Looks like we are entering a period of having more pending listings for single family homes in Santa Clara County than we have active listings.  Santa Cruz County still has an inventory of active listings.  Have questions?  I am just a phone call away.

Go out and make it a great day!

Weekly Stats 11/4/16

Good habits help people live good lives…this relates to your financial well being too.  Part of what I get out of bed for everyday, is for the opportunity to help someone with one of, if not THE most important transactions of their adult lives:  Buying or Selling a home.

I coach my clients to stay informed about the market.  One way to this is to review my weekly market statistic blogs (Ok, I do miss a week here and there, but….).  Take a look.  Check-in once or twice a month and follow the trends.  All market information will help you make a better decision when the time comes for you and your home.

Charts below show both Active Listings and Listings in Contract for both Single Family Homes and Condos/Townhouses.  There is a chart for Santa Clara County and a separate one for Santa Cruz County.  You will see that although geographically near each other,  both markets are unique.  Have a question?  I am just a phone call away and happy to be of service.  In the mean time, take a look.  Stay informed.

Real Estate Market Stats – Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties

The number one question I am always asked is “what is the real estate market doing right now?”  I truly believe our market is the best example of a true, real time model of free market economics.  As I have in the past, I am posting a couple of graphs showing data for both the Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties.  Each graph shows one set of stats is for the Condo/Townhouse market and another for the Single Family Home market.

Take a look.  Have questions.  I am just a phone call away and always willing to help dissect the myriad of market information out there so you understand exactly where you are within your current situation.

Go make it a great one!
